I again tried to tell the public what was happening in the George Lee by-election by running as an independant but George got all the media coverage and my voice got little or none. This was the manifesto I put forward in that by election.
THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM
IS THE PLANNING LAWS
I ran as an independant candidate for the 2007 elections and put my name down in four constituencies but got little or no votes. While I didnt wish for a career in politics I felt it was my patriotic duty to warn the people of Ireland that the planning laws were driving our country to economic ruin. I had a responsibility to attempt to warn the public but to no avail.
I was blanked by the media because I was not associated with any political party and my policies were ignored. About one quarter of the candidates in the 2007 election were independants. They were the only real opposition to the established parties but they got little or no hearing from the media in the campaign up to that election.
The last two years have seen a dramatic and deepening financial disaster and our politicians level all the blame at the bankers and international events while pretending that it was nothing to do with themselves. Yet they were our government who had their regulators and the central bank overseeing the national financial well-being and they had a duty to oversee all of them.
IN THAT ROLE THEY HAVE FAILED MISERABLY
THEY FAILED THE IRISH PEOPLE WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN THEM AND THEY FAILED OUR FORE-FATHERS WHO STRUGGLED FOR OUR FREEDOM
Now that there is a by election I have entered the contest again. The message is the same as before, except that Ireland is now facing imminent bankruptcy, ruin and shame and our generation are handing over a crippled republic to the next generation with the emigrant ships and cheap flights beckoning to the youth of Ireland once again.
Our politicians see their only hope of rescue in Europe because they know that they have crippled the country economically. They are taxing the public now just to balance their annual spending budget but the massive loses will never be recovered. Toxic assets are assets that have lost their value. They invent words such as toxic and recapitalisation etc to fool the people.
Thousands of home owners are in negative equity and the government has no answer except to wait and promise better times ahead. As an independant nation this republic has failed, principally because our politicians stole the use of the land from the people for their own power base and to feed off the money that developments could bring to them as the final arbitrators on all developments.
My ambition is to give the power back to the people to manage their own home and farm without the red tape imposed by our oppressors who want to control us.
The media crowed about how George Lee swept all the opposition aside but failed to report the biased and unopposed way they protrayed their TV star to ensure that he had no opposition. My name never even got a mention in the Independent, the Examiner and got a two line comment in the Irish Times the day before the election. A similar scenario happened on TV. The media have ensured that their man got elected. They are dictating the agenda. The opposition candidates were discriminated against by the Irish media to manipulate the electorate and they achieved their aim.
